Meet the team
The PEOPLE team consists of two co-chairs, an international and multi-disciplinary Steering Group, and an International Coordination Office hosted at the University of Dhaka, who work closely with the World Meteorological Organization’s (WMO) World Weather Research Programme (WWRP) Secretariat.

Steering Group Members
The PEOPLE Project is led by an international and multi-disciplinary Steering Group, whose membership is chosen by the WWRP Scientific Steering Committee and approved by the relevant Permanent Representatives to the WMO. It has balanced representation from both the natural and social sciences as well as representatives from both the WWRP Working Groups and partner organizations.

International Coordination Office (ICO)
The International Coordination Office (ICO), hosted by the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh manages a range of responsibilities related to PEOPLE to support the efficient functioning and implementation of tasks. It plays a key role in ensuring effective project coordination, communication, outreach, collaboration, and overall operational efficiency for PEOPLE. Additionally, the ICO is instrumental in strengthening partnerships between PEOPLE and relevant organizations, working in close collaboration with the WWRP Secretariat to maintain links with WWRP and WMO Working Groups and Expert Team.
